Mona Kamal Ismail, PhD in Interior Design, The Ohio State University, Columbus, Oho, 1998 (Dissertation: Self Care of Non-Institutionalized Vision/Hearing Impaired Older Adults); MS. in Interior Design & Masters of City & Regional Planning, The Ohio State University, 1996; BS. with Honors In Interior Design, The Ohio State University, 1993.  Assistant Designer at the Franklin County Office on Aging, Columbus, Ohio. Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant 1993-1998; Lecturer at Misr International University 1998- 2001. Lecturer at 6th October University 2001- 2004. Interior Design Department Head at the Scientific College of Design 2005- 2010, Quality Assurance & Enhancement Unit Head 2010- 2012, Acting Dean 2012-2013, and Dean of the Scientific College of Design 2013- Present.  Visiting Professor at the Sultan Qaboos University 2012-2013. Member of various professional associations such as Interior Design Educators Council & American Planning Association.  External Evaluator of Oman Academic Accreditation Authority and Ministry of Higher Education.
