Dr. Samia Al Shanfari,  Chair

 Senior leader in higher education quality and governance with nearly 30 years of experience. Currently serving as Executive Director of Quality and Institutional Performance at Muscat University, leading strategic planning, governance, and institutional effectiveness. Holds a PhD in Education from the University of Edinburgh and is widely recognised for her contributions to quality assurance and national-level higher education initiatives in Oman.

 Dr Tess Goodliffe,  Vice Chair

 Dr Tess Goodliffe is currently the Director of the Quality Assurance, Planning and Accreditation Department at Sohar University. She has been involved in the higher education sector in Oman for over twenty years, through working in HEIs and through her role working for the former OAAA.

Mr. Yasser Al Balushi, Treasurer

Engr. Yasser Ali Akbar Al Balushi is a distinguished professional in quality assurance, engineering, and higher education, with a proven track record in academic leadership, accreditation, and QHSE systems. As Assistant Head of Quality Assurance and Senior Faculty, he has led institutional quality initiatives, internal audits, and accreditation processes aligned with national and international standards.

 Dr. Mona Kamal Ismail, Chair of Events Planning & Management  Committee 

Dr. Mona Kamal Ismail has served as the Dean of the Scientific College of Design since 2013, where she has successfully spearheaded national and international institutional and program accreditation projects. She holds a Ph.D., an M.S., and a B.S. in Interior Design, as well as a Master of City and Regional Planning, all from The Ohio State University.

A recognized leader in academic excellence, Dr. Ismail received the "Education Leadership Award" from the Golden Globe International Organization in 2015. She is a dedicated expert in quality assurance, serving as an external reviewer for the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) since 2016 and for FIBAA since 2023. Additionally, she is an EFQM Internal Assessor and serves on the Board of Directors for both the Egyptian Language School and Oman Association for Quality in Higher Education.

Dr. Sulaiman Al Hasani, Chair of Corporate Identity, Media & Communication Committee 

 Dr. Sulaiman Al Hasani is an academic and engineer specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, holding a PhD from Monash University, Australia. He has contributed to advanced research in MRI imaging techniques and currently serves as Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs and Resources at the Global College of Engineering and Technology in Muscat. He brings extensive experience in teaching, academic leadership, and program development, with research interests in signal processing and deep learning.

Mr. Hassan Al-Zaabi, Member

Deputy director of licensing program and Supervision Department, MoE
A seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience across the banking and higher education sectors. Holds a Master’s degree in Total Quality Assurance from Cardiff University, UK. Has contributed to institutional excellence through leadership roles and participation in international quality assurance initiatives, including QAQHE. Skilled in quality assurance, project management, and operational efficiency, with a strong focus on driving organisational performance and continuous improvement.

Dr. Khalid is Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Oman.

Dr. Sheikha  Said  Mohammed  Al Subhi is a Quality Assurance Director at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, with extensive leadership experience in institutional accreditation, internal audits, and the Oman Qualifications Framework as an external reviewer Director.  

Dr. Houda Al Habsi, Member

Dr. Houda Al Habsi is a quality assurance expert and consultant in higher education, with extensive experience across OAQE, ministries, and academic institutions. She combines over two decades of leadership in QA, policy development, and institutional accreditation with an academic background in applied linguistics.

Dr. Wafa Al Maawali, Rapporteur

Dr. Wafa Al Maawali is the head of Innovation and Technology Transfer UTAS Rustaq College of Education.  

Dr. Lujain El-Maghraby , Member

Dr. Lujain Al-Maghraby is the Director of Studies and an assistant professor of management at "Majan University College". She holds a BSc in strategic management and HRM from the German University in Cairo and MBA with distinction from Heriot-Watt University (UK) in collaboration with the American University in Cairo. She was one of the top 14% worldwide in this global master's degree programme. Dr. Lujain completed her PhD in management in 2024. Her work experience of 10 years includes industry, consultancy services for key business tycoons in MENA and academia in Germany, Egypt and Oman. She is an ad hoc peer reviewer for leading journals such as European Management Journal, Review of Managerial Science and Journal of Business Research. She holds FHEA and CMBE teaching fellowships from the UK.
